Red, black and white are a special colour combination. Many languages don't have names for blue, yellow, green, orange or purple. But all languagues, even the least sophisticated, have names for red, white, and black. These colours are primal - they must be named because they are so vital to our survival. After learning this little fact, I went back to my older work and found that some of the wilder works on www.lope.ca are indeed done in this colour combination. Do they inspire the primitive in you?
